The Victim Advocate Certificate is designed for individuals who work with and advocate for victims of crime, violence, abuse, and community trauma.
This 36-hour training program is divided into three sessions of 12 contact hours each, all of which are offered in the course of one year. Course A is normally offered in November, Course B in January and Course C in the month of April. There are no prerequisites. Courses may be taken in any order or independently of each other. Missouri State University’s Community and Social Issues Institute is offering this activity for 12 hours of continuing education credit and 14.4 hours of Missouri continuing legal education. The center is recognized by American Psychological Association and NBCC.
