CONFERENCE GOALS

  • Raise community awareness about the problem of childhood obesity
  • Share information that aims to improve overall health of youth through education and information that promotes healthy lifestyles.
  • Describe social, environmental factors related to childhood obesity to improve understanding of childhood obesity
  • Promote collaborate partnerships among health professionals that service youth.
  • Promote collaboration among diverse stakeholders to ensure access to healthy foods and physical activity for all children.
  • Highlight existing community resources  related to childhood obesity.
  • Feature community efforts to implement strategies that promote and sustain healthy eating and activity behaviors.
